Understanding the Repair Process
The following 10 steps will help you understand the work flow of a typical body repair.
| The Estimate |
Relevant data is entered into our computers after the vehicle is looked at. Then the cost of the needed repairs is estimated. However, there is often hidden damage that cannot be seen until after work has begun on the vehicle. |
| Insurance Approval |
After the estimate is completed, it is reviewed by your insurance company. We negotiate the price and actions necessary to repair the vehicle. Once the insurance company determines that the vehicle can be repaired, work begins. |
| Disassembly |
Here, hidden damage is often found allowing for the inner structure repairs to be determined. Often, this requires a re-inspection by your insurance company. |
| Order Parts |
We order your parts as soon as possible. The repair process will start once all of the parts are received. |
| Structure Repair |
We follow strict guidelines to guarantee your vehicle’s frame is brought back to factory specifications. |
| Body Repair |
The vehicle starts to come back to life as the exterior panels and metal finishing takes place. |
| Paint |
All panels are prepped, primed and sealed to guarantee proper paint adhesion. |
| Reasembly |
Here, final moldings and trim are installed. A suspension alignment or any mechanical repairs are done at this time if necessary. |
| Detailing |
The vehicle is road tested and put through final inspection before it is cleaned. |
| Completed |
The bill is explained and the final paperwork is completed. The vehicle is now ready for pick-up. |
